City of Logan Lodge #529City of Logan Freemasons - Brisbane

City of Logan Lodge was consecrated by the United Grand Lodge of Queensland in 1993.  Currently, The City of Logan Lodge members meet at the Beenleigh Masonic Centre in Queensland Australia.  The lodge currently has just over 40 members and meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from February till December. Meetings start and 7.30pm and finish around 11pm.

The Lodge was started in the Logan Shire and named accordingly because at the time, Logan City was named at the second biggest city in the South East Queensland and was not represented with any Masonic presence, even though many there were members living in the area.  The Lodge held it's first meeting at the School of Arts hall in Kingston in August 1993.

Meeting in Kingston until recent times, in 2008 an opportunity arose for the Lodge to move to a purpose built Masonic centre at Beenleigh. The brethren having agreed that it was time to move to larger and more suited facilities, applied to the Grand Lodge of Queensland for the move which was approved, the Lodge held its first meeting in the Beenleigh centre in February 2008.

Today in 2010 the Brethren of City of Logan lodge enjoy their Freemasonry very much and support many charities and local initiatives such as:

  • Supporting local school projects
  • Walks to raise money for Cancer
  • Maintenance care of Masonic Homes
  • Anzac Day Ceremonies

And many other worth while charitable causes.
